Wayne Myles, KC, Appointed Chair of Newfoundland Labrador Liquor Corporation
Wayne Myles, QC, Counsel with Cox & Palmer, has been appointed Chair of the Newfoundland Labrador Liquor Corporation (NLC) Board of Directors. The appointment was recently announced by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and was recommended through the Independent Appointments Commission.
Wayne is a seasoned and highly-regarded commercial lawyer. He has a broad range of expertise in international and domestic mergers and acquisitions, corporate commercial, and general legal and consulting matters. Wayne is often described as an individual who is as much a business person as he is a lawyer.
While he is well-known for his national and international commercial law work, Wayne is proudly based in Atlantic Canada and has business interests in all four provinces. Wayne’s experience, commitment, and leadership, combined with his passion for a successful Atlantic Canadian business economy, will no doubt be an asset to the NLC.
Wayne will serve a three-year term, effective May 11, 2017.
The NLC is a provincial Crown corporation responsible for managing the information, sale and distribution of beverage alcohol within the province.
