Thomas J. O’Reilly, KC, Celebrates 50 Years of Practice
It is with great pleasure that Cox & Palmer congratulates Thomas J. O’Reilly, QC, on the 50th anniversary of his call to the bar in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Tom is one of the most senior and well-respected litigators in Newfoundland and Labrador. He is a highly sought-after counsel and is a recognized leader in the practice of corporate commercial litigation and insurance litigation. Tom’s distinction has been earned through his industrious contribution over the past 50 years, and his deep respect for the legal profession.
Since his call on February 26, 1968, Tom has demonstrated an unwavering devotion to his clients, his practice, and his profession. He was appointed to Queen’s Counsel in 1980, is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and served as president of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Tom was awarded the Gordon M. Stirling Distinguished Service Award by the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2006, and the Lexpert Zenith Award in 2012, in recognition of his outstanding leadership, competitive excellence, and contributions to the practice and community.
Tom’s continued contributions to our firm, the legal profession, and our community are invaluable. We are privileged to have a person of his distinction representing our firm and our profession. We are proud to congratulate him on this momentous occasion.
