Stephanie Hickman Appointed to NL Oil & Gas Industry Development Council
Cox & Palmer is pleased to announce that Stephanie Hickman, Partner in the St. John’s office, has been appointed to Newfoundland and Labrador’s Oil and Gas Industry Development Council.
Stephanie’s merit-based appointment speaks to her extensive knowledge and experience in the oil and gas industry. As a member of Cox & Palmer’s energy and natural resources practice group, Stephanie has proven herself to be a dedicated member to the industry, dealing with the Newfoundland and Labrador offshore regulatory regime, litigation, contractual and project development issues in the sector for over 15 years.
The Oil and Gas Industry Development Council will assess the long-term vision for the province’s oil and gas industry and focus on developing a sustainable and competitive industry.
Stephanie and the eight additional appointed members have a diverse mix of skills and experience in areas such as, business development and supply chain management, industry specific skills and training requirements, labour relations, resource development, regulatory environment, gender equity and diversity, and research, development and innovation.
The Minister of Natural Resources will be Chair of the council, and Newfoundland and Labrador Oil and Gas Industries (Noia) and the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) will be fixed members.
