St. John’s Office Welcomes Three Associates
Cox & Palmer’s St. John’s office is pleased to welcome three talented associates to our team.
Sarah Colborne Penney is a dedicated insurance litigator who advises clients on matters including motor vehicle liability, personal injury, and negligence.
Sarah graduated with a BA in psychology and an LLB from Dalhousie University. Sarah’s commitment to the community is evident in her many years of volunteer advocacy. She has assumed leadership roles for multiple school councils, and is a member of the NL Chapter of Equal Voice, a multi-partisan, national organization aimed at getting women elected to all levels of government.
Gerry Quigley joins our team following his position as associate general counsel with Memorial University, and in-house counsel with the NL Department of Justice.
Prior to attending law school, Gerry mastered his communication and presentation skills through a robust career in film and television. Gerry’s breadth of experience benefits his general legal practice, specifically in matters involving administrative law, contractual agreements, copyright, privacy, IP, and entertainment law.
Darren Purchase was admitted to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar
in 2013, having previously been called to the Bar with the Law Society of
Upper Canada. Darren maintains a successful litigation practice and has
experience in various aspects of commercial and residential real estate law.
He has represented clients before the Supreme Court of Newfoundland
and Labrador, the Provincial Court in Newfoundland and Labrador, and
a range of Administrative Boards and Tribunals.
Welcome Sarah, Gerry, and Darren!
