St. John’s Office Congratulates Student Entrepreneur

January 28, 2010

Cox & Palmer’s St. John’s office congratulates student entrepreneur Nicholas Langor on taking the top spot at the 4th Annual SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) Memorial Innovation Challenge.

Styled after the hit television show, Dragon’s Den, a group of student finalists pitched their entrepreneurial business ideas to a panel of judges, which included St. John’s partner Anna Cook. The winner of the challenge was set to receive the firms’ contribution of $2,500 for start-up capital, as well as free office space in Launch Pad, SIFE Memorial’s award winning entrepreneurial incubation center on campus.

After lengthy deliberation, Langor, a commerce student studying in Malaysia, was awarded top prize for his business; Prestige Imports. Founded in May 2009, Prestige Imports is an automobile brokerage, specializing in the sourcing of premium pre-owned automobiles.

Memorial is the largest university in Atlantic Canada. For information, visit http://www.mun.ca/
