PEI Government Announces Business Adaptation Program Funding

April 14, 2020

We know that the Covid-19 pandemic has put significant strain on many small and medium sized businesses on Prince Edward Island.  There are many legal questions that business owners and managers have about employee layoffs and support programs, commercial lease relief, refinancing and restructuring, supplier contracts and the like.

At Cox & Palmer we have the experience and knowledge to answer these questions and provide you with straightforward and practical advice to help you mitigate risk during this period of uncertainty, while preparing you to thrive during the economy’s rebound.  We understand the government support programs available and can help direct you on how to access them.

The PEI Provincial Government has recently deployed the “Covid-19 Business Adaptation Advice Program” which will reimburse you 100% (up to $2,500) for advice that you seek from professionals (including Cox & Palmer lawyers) on how to adapt and recover from the Covid-19 pandemic.  The full details of the Program (and the application portal) can be found by clicking here.

To discuss an engagement with Cox & Palmer to receive business adaptation advice, you can contact your Cox & Palmer lawyer directly (by email or telephone) or send a general inquiry to charlottetown@coxandpalmer.com.
