Olga McWilliam Benson

Olga McWilliam-Benson is a Partner in Cox & Palmer’s St. John’s office. Olga practices primarily in personal injury litigation and has been selected yearly by her peers for inclusion in the publication The Best Lawyers^™ in Canada for her work in this area since 2022. She also practices general civil litigation, real estate law, and wills and estates law.

Olga routinely appears at the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Court of Appeal, and has also appeared at the Federal Court of Canada, Federal Court of Appeal, and the Tax Court of Canada. She has served several terms as a member of the Law Society’s Disciplinary Committee.

Outside of her practice, Olga served for many years as the Vice President of the SPCA, and was President of the NLSPCA Foundation, the major fundraising area. Olga was a member of the organizing committee of the inaugural St. John’s International Circus Festival and currently sits on the Board of Directors of Wonderbolt Circus. She also volunteered with Easter Seals on its Mermaids in the City campaign and was chairperson of the gala finale.
