
James is a Partner with Cox & Palmer’s Halifax office who focuses on management side employment and labour law.
James provides strategic advice, guidance and representation to employers on a wide range of employment law, labour relations, and human rights issues, including:
- wrongful dismissal claims
- grievance arbitrations
- collective agreement negotiations
- unfair labour practice proceedings
- occupational health and safety incidents
- workplace accommodations and human rights complaints
James has appeared before all levels of court in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, as well as labour boards and grievance arbitrators throughout the region, He is recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for his practice in Corporate and Commercial Litigation. James graduated from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2013 and was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2014.
