Jack Townsend: Committed to the profession, and the community.

Congratulations to Jack Townsend, this year’s recipient of the CBA’s Zöe Odei Young Lawyers Award.

The Zöe Odei Award honours and recognizes a young lawyer’s distinguished or exceptional service to the Canadian Bar Association, the community or charitable causes.  Jack was nominated by his peers for his exceptional contributions to the CBA, his advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community, and his service to the advancement of diversity and equity in the legal profession.

As included in his nomination letter, “Jack is a stellar example of leadership within the legal profession. Jack balances a busy and successful legal practice with dedicated and tireless service to our community. He is genuinely committed to the betterment of our community, and we are proud to highlight and recognize his significant contributions.”

Jack received the Zöe Odei Young Lawyers Award at the CBA-NS Conference in Halifax on November 30.
