Halifax Lawyer Receives CBA Zoe Odei Award

Congratulations to Sharon Averyof the Halifax office. On January 31, Sharon was awarded the Canadian Bar Association’s Zöe Odei Young Lawyers Award. Established in memory of the late Zöe Odei of Halifax, this award honours and recognizes a young Nova Scotian lawyer’s distinguished and exceptional service to the Canadian Bar Association, their community and charitable causes.

Sharon has worked with numerous charities and community organizations over the years. She has served on the Board of Directors for the North End Community Health Clinic, Dalhousie Legal Aid, and the Spina Bifida Association. She is currently dedicated to the Mount Saint Vincent University’s fundraising initiative to build a new centre for teaching, learning and research. Sharon is an active CBA member and has served on the Executive Committee and chaired the Equity Committee.
