Cox & Palmer Welcomes New Chief Marketing Officer

Cox & Palmer, along with its regional board of directors, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kelly O’Brien as Chief Marketing Officer.

With a career spanning more than 25 years, Kelly has worked in advertising, marketing and consulting roles in Halifax and Toronto on leading brands such as Microsoft Xbox, Hyundai, Empire Theatres, Nova Scotia Tourism and Bell Aliant. Additionally, she has significant experience in legal marketing, having held senior positions with full-service law firms in the region for nearly a decade, including at Cox & Palmer. In 2007, Kelly played a pivotal role as the firm’s first regional marketing lead following the merger of its predecessor firms, Cox Hanson O’Reilly Matheson and Patterson Palmer. During this time, she led the successful rebranding and marketing strategy for the newly formed firm. In 2022, as an independent consultant, she was contracted to support to the firm’s Halifax office as acting Director of Marketing following a vacancy.

In her new role as Chief Marketing Officer, Kelly will lead the firm’s regional marketing efforts, and will work with the regional board of directors and practice groups to develop and activate their marketing and business development strategies.
