Cox & Palmer Participates in National Pro Bono Week
Two Halifax lawyers are participating in the Canadian Bar Association’s first annual Pro Bono Week call-in day on Wednesday, October 28. From 10.00 am to 2.00 pm, Andrew Taillon and Sarah Pottle will take calls from Nova Scotians who have legal questions but limited access to legal services.
The pro bono call-in day event is part of a pilot project launched by the new Canadian Bar Association Pro Bono Committee and Young Lawyers initiative, in partnership with the Legal Information Society of Nova Scotia. The call-in number is 1 800 665 9779 or, within the Halifax Regional Municipality, 455 3135.
National Pro Bono Week in Canada provides an opportunity to celebrate, inform, and energize the legal profession’s efforts to increase access to justice through the delivery of pro bono legal services.
