Cox & Palmer New Brunswick Lawyers Appointed to King’s Counsel

Congratulations to Jamie Eddy, Catherine Bowlen and Talia Profit, Partners in our Fredericton, and Moncton offices, who have received their Kings Counsel Designation.

The King’s Counsel designation is awarded each year to a select group of lawyers for their outstanding service, dedication, and commitment to the legal profession. For Jamie, Catherine and Talia, this designation recognizes their professional integrity, hard work and the high regard in which they are held by their colleagues.

Jamie Eddy is a partner in our Fredericton office and the chair of our NB Employment and Labour Group. Jamie is recognized as one of Canada’s top lawyers in the area of employment and labour by both the Best Lawyers in Canada and the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory. Jamie has extensive experience in all aspects of labour, human rights, and employment law.

Catherine Bowlen is a partner in our Fredericton office. Catherine practices in the areas of civil litigation, particularly medical malpractice, health law and personal injury. She has been a presenter on insurance topics at client seminars and at continuing legal education seminars and is a member of Canadian Defence Lawyers. Catherine is a past member of the Board of Directors of the York Group of Companies and St. John Ambulance New Brunswick Council.

Talia Profit is a partner in our Moncton office and has been recognized as one of Canada’s top lawyers in the area of Insurance Law by Best Lawyers in Canada and Medical Negligence by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory. Talia has extensive experience in all aspects of insurance, medical negligence and class actions. She has presented to the legal and medical communities on various aspects of litigation and risk mitigation and has written articles published in national insurance magazines. She is also the current President of the Canadian Bar Association – New Brunswick Branch.
