Cox & Palmer Donates $10,000 to The Gathering Place
The St. John’s office of Cox & Palmer today announced a $10,000 donation to The Gathering Place. The donation is the result of a yearlong internal fundraising campaign to support The Gathering Place, which was voted to be the office’s internal ‘Charity of Choice’ for 2017.
“It gives us great pleasure to present The Gathering Place with this donation,” says Leanne O’Leary, managing partner of Cox & Palmer’s St. John’s office. “We are humbled and inspired by the valuable services The Gathering Place provides to the vulnerable members of our community. We hope this donation will further their important work.”
The donation was made possible by the continuous generosity of the staff and lawyers of Cox & Palmer. Funds were raised through various internal events that occurred regularly throughout 2017. In addition to financial contributions, the office also hosted a clothing drive that resulted in a donation of more than 150 pounds of winter clothing.
Cox & Palmer congratulates the Fundraising Committee and our team members for their kind and generous contributions. The firm would also like to thank the many businesses and organizations who supported our fundraising efforts over the past year.
Members of Cox & Palmer’s Fundraising Committee are Gloria Young, Annette Gale, Ashley Tippett, Janie Betts, Amanda Hobbs, Rachelle White, Chantel Lawlor, Nikita Richards, Amanda Ryan-Herrell, and Joanne Simfukwe.
