Cox & Palmer Celebrates with Innovocorp I-3 Technology Start-Up Competition Winners
Congratulations to DeNovaMed Inc., the provincial winner of Innovacorp’s I-3 Technology Start-Up Competition.
Innovacorp’s I-3 competition finds and supports early stage Nova Scotia knowledge-based companies and encourages entrepreneurial activity across the province. Cox & Palmer is a proud partner of this competition and would like to congratulate the 2011-2012 winners.
Winners are awarded cash, seed investment, and in-kind business-building services.

J&K Scientific Inc., Krishnat Naikwadi, Edwardsville, Cape Breton Regional Municipality
DeNovaMed Inc. originates from Zone 4, Halifax Regional Municipality. Its founders, Christopher McMaster, Donald Weaver and David Byers used computer-aided drug design to develop a new class of compounds with the potential to treat infections caused by drug-resistant bacteria, or superbugs. In the next 12-18 months, the company plans to evaluate its best compounds in animal models of infection, with an ultimate goal of bringing to market a truly new antibiotic.
