Cox & Palmer Announces Seven New Partners
It is with great pleasure that we announce 7 new partners of Cox & Palmer: Geoff Breen (Halifax), Cindy Cameron (Summerside), Matt Dorreen (Halifax), Steve Forbes (Charlottetown), Richard Norman (Halifax), Nick Ouellette (Saint John), and Mohammad Ali Raza (Halifax).

Geoff Breen works with businesses to solve their employment and labour issues and commercial disputes. He helps businesses detect compliance gaps, manage complex human resources issues, navigate transactions and reorganizations, and leads litigation, arbitration and regulatory proceedings.
Cindy Cameron’s practice is focused on litigation, including insurance and commercial litigation, and family law. In her family law practice, Cindy handles matters including cohabitation and marriage contracts, separation agreements, divorce, division of family property, spousal and child support, access to children and child protection matters.
Matt Dorreen regularly acts for clients in all aspects of commercial real estate, financing, leasing and commercial transactions. Matt also advises clients in the areas of environmental and natural resources law, and has acted for a wide variety of major producers, royalty companies and junior exploration companies in the mining sector.
Steve Forbes has a practice focused on insurance defence, general litigation and municipal law. His experience includes advising on coverage and casualty matters, commercial disputes, construction disputes, personal injury, and general litigation.
Richard Norman’s practice consists largely of commercial, estate, and insurance litigation. He also deals with disputes involving government actors, including constitutional challenges to legislation and government action. Other interest areas include maritime/admiralty law (including fisheries defence work), real property, and defamation.
Nick Ouellette’s practice focuses on financing transactions, private equity investments and corporate reorganizations. He represents clients on general corporate and governance issues, intellectual property matters and energy and natural resources files. In addition to his extensive legal experience, Nick worked for several years as a government policy advisor, an executive assistant and a legislative chief of staff. Through this experience, he brings a unique perspective to help clients resolve their legal issues.
Mohammad Ali Raza’s practice is focused on general corporate commercial advisory, transactional and regulatory work, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring. He has had the experience of working both in private practice and in-house in a number of jurisdictions in Asia, Middle-east and Europe. He is engaged regularly by business clients in consumer facing businesses as well as clients working in the renewable energy, oil and gas, power and construction projects.
