Cox & Palmer Announces New Partners

It is with great pleasure that we announce three new partners of Cox & Palmer: John Boyle (Halifax), Katie Morello (Charlottetown), and Guy Wellard (Halifax).

John is a member of Cox & Palmer’s litigation group in Halifax. He represents clients in the areas of commercial litigation, securities law, construction law, and insurance defence. John has appeared at all levels of court in Nova Scotia, and has been involved in domestic and international mediations and commercial arbitrations.

Katie’s practice is primarily focussed on corporate commercial law; residential real-estate; commercial real estate and development; as well as banking and finance.  She provides legal advice to businesses, both large and small, including facilitating financing, buying and selling and contract negotiations.

Guy has a broad-based corporate commercial practice, focusing primarily on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities, corporate governance and commercial real estate. His practice involves a wide range of transactional work, regularly advising clients across diverse business sectors in the negotiation and structuring of business acquisitions and divestitures; corporate reorganizations; debt and equity financings; commercial leasing; and franchise, securities and environmental law compliance.
