In Memoriam: J. Ian M. Whitcomb

The lawyers and staff of Cox & Palmer are saddened by the passing of their dear friend and colleague J. Ian M. Whitcomb, QC.
Ian joined the Saint John office in 2001. He was a member of our tax team and also specialized in estate planning and corporate law where he dealt with national and international clients. Ian was recognized as a leading practitioner for his practice in the areas of tax and trusts and estates until his retirement from Cox & Palmer in 2010.
Ian embodied the legal profession’s highest ethical and professional standards. All who associated with Ian enjoyed his counsel and his dry, keen wit.
Ian will be best remembered for his love of family, gentlemanly manner and kindness to others.
