James K. O’Connell, KC Receives Queen’s Counsel Appointment
Cox & Palmer congratulates partner, James K. O’Connell, QC on his recent appointment as Queen’s Counsel. The Queen’s Counsel designation is awarded each year to a select group of lawyers for their outstanding service, dedication and commitment to the legal profession in New Brunswick.
Jim conducts a general litigation practice with a particular emphasis on environmental, commercial, insurance and family litigation. He has extensive experience before both the Trial and Family Divisions of the Court of Queen’s Bench of New Brunswick. He is a frequent lecturer at the Bar Admission Course and is presently a member of the Council of the Law Society of New Brunswick.
His appointment acknowledges Jim’s professional integrity and superlative contributions to the practice of law in New Brunswick.
Jim is a life-long resident of Saint John and has been active in many non-profit organizations. He is presently a board member of the New Brunswick Children’s Foundation.
