Cox & Palmer Partners with Local Arts Community
Cox & Palmer today announced their support and sponsorship of Newfoundland & Labrador arts and cultural activities. BRAVO! – Supporting the Arts is an initiative to support the tremendous talent showcased in music, visual and performing arts and literary arts within the province.
“It is a great pleasure to support the arts community”, states Sandy MacDonald, Managing Partner at Cox & Palmer’s St. John’s Office. “This initiative was conceived and developed in order to support the arts and culture in our province and to help demonstrate that the arts community is a vital part of our local economy, worthy of backing.”
Cox & Palmer presents Opera on the Avalon’s Dido and Aeneas from June 16-19 at the LSPU Hall. The firm also welcomes local and international musicians to the Masonic Temple stage during the 10th Annual Wreckhouse Jazz and Blues Festival July 13-16. Cox & Palmer will also be a major sponsor of The Messiah by the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, The St. John’s International Women’s Film and Video Festival, and the Resource Centre for the Arts. Special awards for emerging artists will then be announced later this year at the Sparks Literary Festival and St. Michael’s Print Shop.
Chair of the committee for BRAVO! – Supporting the Arts is Paul McDonald, Partner at Cox & Palmer. “These cultural organizations bring the best in contemporary arts and performance to our city and province. They bring national and international artists and highlight the extraordinary talent that exists in our own back yard. We are thrilled to be part of the vibrancy of the arts community in Newfoundland & Labrador.”
