Cox & Palmer Helping “Propel” Atlantic Canadian Start-ups

May 16, 2016

Cox & Palmer is pleased to announce its Regional sponsorship of Propel ICT. Propel is a private-sector led, not for profit organization that serves as Atlantic Canada’s start-up accelerator and helps new and emerging companies bring their ideas to market.

“We are excited to work with Propel as they mentor and support new businesses across the region,” says Patrick Fitzgerald, a partner in the firm’s Halifax office and member of its regional start-up group.  “Cox & Palmer recognizes the value of start-ups to Atlantic Canada’s economy, and we’re here to help them establish a solid foundation. We recognize that start-ups often have limited budgets in early stages, but want to stress the value and importance of strong legal advice at the outset.”

Propel ICT will hold Local Demo Days across the region between May 31 – June 2. Local Demo Days, exclusively sponsored by Cox & Palmer, provide the opportunity for start-ups that are currently enrolled in Propel’s program, to pitch their ideas to a qualified audience of seasoned entrepreneurs, investors, and mentors.  Those selected or chosen from each of the provincial events will be invited to participate in a Regional Demo Day which will be held in Halifax on June 21st.
