Michael is an associate in our Halifax office. He provides advice and representation to employers on a wide range of labour and employment matters, including human rights cases, labour arbitration, collective bargaining, and employment litigation. Michael makes a particular effort to ensure that he assists clients with their legal concerns while considering their business and the realities of running an organization. To that end, he also advises employers on workforce planning, including the management of employment agreements and terminations.
Michael also maintains a general litigation practice including assisting clients with administrative matters before Boards and Tribunals, judicial reviews, and appeals. Michael has represented clients at all levels of Court in Nova Scotia as well as with litigation matters in Ontario, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Federal jurisdiction.
Michael has served on numerous not-for-profit boards including currently being a member of the Board of Directors for Symphony Nova Scotia.
Michael graduated from Queen’s University law school in 2019 and was called to the bar in Ontario where he practiced until 2022 before moving to Nova Scotia.
